Howard serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and Lead Independent Counsel at Finwise Bank (FINW). In 2000, he participated as a founder in raising the needed capital to open a community bank named Utah Community Bank. Later renamed Finwise Bank) Shortly after the bank received permission and proper approval, Howard was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Board. For the next 11 years, Howard successfully led the bank through very difficult regulatory oversight. The banking sector presents complex issues requiring constant leadership and adherence to state and federal agency regulations. However, despite these challenges, Howard successfully took the bank through an IPO in late 2021. Finwise Bank continues outperforming its peer competitors in partnership lending, SBA lending, and unique lending strategies. Finwise Bank is now approaching 600 million dollars in assets and is widely respected as a top-performing bank.

Howard’s career began with the formation of his own transportation and logistics company, Advanced Transportation Systems, as a trucking, warehousing, and 3rd party logistics provider. After four years, in 1990, Howard completed a successful merger with a local trucking company as part-owner and Chief Operating Officer for the next 27 years. The company expanded the fleet size from 40 trucks to 550 trucks and successfully served the refrigerated industry with some of the most prominent shippers in the country. Total revenues grew from 15 million to 130 million in this period. Howard opted to retire in 2017 and use this time to assist Finwise Bank in its growth objectives and pursuit of an IPO.

Howard maintains a consulting business under the name of Superior Management, providing expertise in transportation and logistics, and this business has served clients for over 35 years.

Howard now serves as Executive Vice-President and a member of the Board of Zyviva Laboratories, Inc., where his focus is on assisting to bring a powerful and unique product to market that has a tremendous opportunity to provide life-changing wellness.
